    The studentlifestart.com and studentlifestart.co.uk websites (collectively the “Website”) is owned by Virgin Money Plc (“VM”) and run by Hanzo Studio S.L. (“Hanzo”) on behalf of VM. The following cookie information applies to these pages. These pages and some of the emails that you receive via the Website will use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags or action tags or similar technologies.

    VM is the data controller in relation to the data you provide on this Website and Hanzo is the data processor of your personal data.     We will use the personal data We hold about You for:

    • administering Your participation in the LifeStart project;
    • providing You with information about LifeStart prizes, activities, modules and challenges;
    • providing You with information and obtaining Your views and input on VM’s future banking proposals and Virgin Start Up; and
    • sharing information in relation to your participation in the LifeStart challenges with your University representatives, such as your lecturer or course director, subject to your University having signed up to our data protection agreement in accordance with LifeStart’s terms & conditions and privacy policy; and
    • subject to Your consent, for marketing and market research purposes as explained in section 5 below.

    5. Marketing and market research

    Where You have confirmed that You are happy to receive marketing communications, We may use Your information to keep You informed by post, telephone, email or other means of products and services which may be of interest to You. We may also use Your data to undertake market research or data analysis work to help Us improve the services that We provide to You. We may contact You in order to conduct such market research. Your personal data may also be used for the purposes set out in this section 5 after You cease using the Website. If You do not want Your personal data to be used for marketing purposes, You are able to unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe link in every marketing email We send You; sending an e-mail to info@studentlifestart.com or by writing to the Data Protection Officer at the address set out in the “Your Rights” section above.

    The Website provides the functionality for your to send us visual content (Your “Content”) by uploading it to the Website. When submitting Content You will be asked to provide Us with Your name and contact details. The data You provide when submitting Content will only be used for the administration of the Content on the Website and Your ongoing participation in the LifeStart project. We may disclose Your name and contact details where We are required to do so by law, or following any other request (including criminal and civil matters) if We believe that the response is required by law or is reasonably necessary to protect the values and objectives of the Website or other users.   3. LifeStart Prize Rewards - Terms & conditions

    1. Who can enter?

    All students who register for the LifeStart Beta test on the studentlifestart.com or studentlifestart.co.uk websites and who complete a challenge during the entry period for that challenge;

    Employees of Virgin Money and anyone directly connected to LifeStart cannot enter.

    2. When can you enter?

    The opening and closing dates for each challenge will be published on the website.

    3. How do you enter?

    You must register on the LifeStart homepage and complete one or more learning challenge/s during the entry period to be eligible for the prizes as listed on the LifeStart website.

    You must complete one or more challenge/s by uploading all necessary digital content to the LifeStart website before the end of the entry period to be eligible for the prizes.

    4. How are the prizes awarded?

    Prizes will be awarded for each completed challenge as listed on the LifeStart website.

    5. How will the prize winners be selected?

    All uploaded digital content received within the entry period will be entered into the prize competition and the winners will be chosen at our discretion from all qualifying entrants.

    6. What are the prizes?

    The prizes for each challenge are as listed and updated on the LifeStart website from time to time.

    The prizes may be subject to further terms and conditions which will be confirmed when they are awarded.

    The prizes are non-transferable.

    7. How do you know if you have won a prize?

    We will notify the winner by email on the notification date for each challenge. The notification date for each challenge will be set out on the website.

    8. What else do you need to know?

    Your personal information will be used to administer the LifeStart project and the competition.

    You may be asked but are not under an obligation to participate in non-paid publicity.

    The winners agree to allow Virgin Money to confirm their names and counties of residence to other entrants.

    You can request the winner’s names and counties of residence by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: LifeStart Team, Virgin Money plc, 1 Eagle Place, 5th floor, London SW1Y 6AF.

    The competition is subject to English law.

    Events may occur which render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond our control and, accordingly, we may in our absolute discretion vary or amend the competition and you agree that no liability shall attach to us as a result thereof.
